Who am I?
In a few words…
I’m a mother of two adorable little girls, both going to Métis-sur-mer daycare.
I’m also a community development consultant for over 15 years.
Moreover, I am a Métis-sur-mer citizen at heart, firmly rooted here for almost three years.

Why me as mayor?
What I intend to bring to our community through my experience, skills, and fundamental values.
listening and consideration
Treating each other with respect and kindness is the foundation of a trusting relationship, and of living well together. Regardless of their culture, mother tongue, hometown, or socioeconomic status, everyone deserves to have their needs and aspirations considered by the City Council.
citizen participation
Our communities are brimming with a diversity of expertise, talents, and skills. Citizens are also the greatest experts on their living environment. What if we harnessed our community’s knowledge to make the most informed decisions possible together? Let’s discuss collective projects together to take diverse perspectives into account.
clear and consistent priorities
Two consultative projects led to the existing 2030 strategic plan, as well as the family and senior-friendly policy. Let’s work with an annual action plan to implement promising projects that are consistent with the community’s stated aspirations.
Environmentally responsible decisions
In both the short and long term, it’s the ecosystems’ capacity to regenerate which will ensure the quality of life of present and future generations. This scientific principle must guide the policies and practices of the municipality, as well as those of the MRC de La Mitis. Coastal erosion, waste management, water management, wind turbine.. the most appropriate decisions are those that consider all the impacts and associated costs, including environmental ones. Complex issues cannot be solved with band-aid, short-term solutions.
My proposal
What I envision for Métis-sur-mer
The serenity that reigns in Métis-sur-mer. Our peaceful beaches and forests. The two schools and daycare that provide an exceptional living environment for children. The businesses that thrive. The local stores that offer services and jobs. The committees and associations that enliven social, sports, and community life, in summer and winter.
Let’s give ourselves the means to maintain our core… and to create more!
aiming for municipal efficiency
The municipality’s human and financial resources are limited, but responsibilities and obligations are increasing. Let’s optimize our practices, asset management, and collaborations to ensure efficient, high-quality municipal services.
reconciling preservation and development
In order to maintain a pleasant living environment as well as a reasonable level of taxation, let’s be creative to ensure the prosperity and vitality of Métis-sur-mer, while preserving its character.
improving communications
Integrating new tools, let’s facilitate the circulation of accurate information, and lay the foundations for an ongoing dialogue between citizens and the municipal team: updated and user-friendly website, alert system on our phones, municipal newsletter, bilingual council meetings… among others! To feel engaged in municipal life, it is first important to be well-informed. Then, to feel heard when we dare to express ourselves, in the language we are most familiar with.
building a greater collective « we »
Being a united community: this is what you mentioned most often during our meetings and conversations. Métis-sur-mer benefits from a rich diversity of its communities and geographic areas. Let’s build bridges between us to develop new synergies within the community! Let’s support citizen and volunteer initiatives in this direction. And let’s imagine how to connect the different sectors of Métis into a single unifying territory.
Let’s not forget the priority issues

Residential development of Place des Marronniers

Coastal erosion – shoreline protection

State of municipal infrastructure
